Cut and Paste not working on computer for Ebay descriptions and title.
Summary: Several participants discussed an issue related to the "Cut and Paste" function not working when handling eBay descriptions and titles on a computer. The conversation consisted of multiple individuals responding to the initial query, but specific details about their responses are not available.
This started yesterday. I have cleared the cache and rebooted computer. I am using Firefox. I do not wish to change browser (Ebay does not play nice with MS Explorer). The funny thing is when I hit the code button next to the items description. I can paste in but its ghosted. If I hit the code button again it bolds up. Its a work around but a pain. HELP!

·4 months agoTry cutting and pasting it into Notepad - then into the description box - Notepad converts formatted text into plain, unformatted text, acting as a "cleaner" for text copied from websites or word processors.

I can click and paste in the condition box but not the description box.

I have no problems using the latest version of Firefox.

You can have more than one browser installed; there is no need to change anything.
I find it is often useful to have a second or third browser handy to test if a particular issue is browser-related. If the problem occurs in the second browser, chances are good that the problem is on eBay's end unless there is a conflict with a common add-on in both browsers. If the problem does not occur in the second browser, you can use that just for eBay as a workaround when you need to cut and paste. You can keep using Firefox for everything else. Then you can investigate different settings in Firefox to see if you can remedy the cut and paste issue on your end.

How old is your operating system? eBay should work fine with the latest version of Edge, if you have not tried that recently.

Ctrl-B, Ctrl-I, Ctrl-U work fine here on the forum----- but not when editing a listing.
