Customer service--no agent available upon repeated tries
I contacted customer service today by chat and by phone. I have never had an issue before but today, no matter what I said I was told "there is no agent available." This is infuriating, given that the call would be the fourth one IF I'd gotten through. Instead it turned into 4, 5, 6, 7, and still counting. Hopefully something changes soon.

·2 years agoWhat type of issue are you having? Sellers and buyers here can generally help.
If this is about shipping labels:
eBay shipping labels are currently down. eBay is aware and working to fix it; there is no ETA yet.
The system status board will be updated when the problem is fixed:

If anybody needs labels urgently, you can purchase anything but eBay Standard Envelope elsewhere. pirateship.com is a good option for USPS and UPS services.

OP2 years agoNo, not shipping labels. An errouneous seller fee.

·2 years agoAssuming you are the seller, what was erroneous about your seller fee?

OP2 years agoI was charged two seller fees on a profile I accidentally opened a store on. I was told all charges would be removed. One was, after three calls. One remains.

·2 years agoI just saw your other post @lovebomb - an erroneous store fee.
Not sure if this will help, but sometimes eBay system will bug out and not charge me one month, then the next month I get hit with double store fee to make up for the month prior. Is that what happened?
Or did you recently change your subscription level and/or change from annual to monthly, both of which can result in an early termination fee?

OP2 years agoI was charge a pro-rated fee for the month I accidentally purchased in. I cancelled but was charged for this month anyway. This month's fee was finally reversed but the previous charge remains.

·2 years agoSounds like you messed up with the subscription and got a courtesy credit for one of the two charges? It's possible the other charge was not eligible for the credit. I suggest contacting CS tomorrow. Due to the shipping issue today, reports are that some of the usual channels were shut off. You might also try sending a DM to one of eBay's social CS teams: ebayforbusiness on facebook, ebayforsellers on insta, askebay on X

·2 years agoIf you have a charge remaining...it might be applied to the next billing cycle.

OP2 years agoAll I need is to get an agent, to remind them that I was told both charges and any more would be reversed. The subscription was made the first or second day. There should have been no further charges with a cancelled subscription, right.

There should have been no further charges with a cancelled Monthly subscription. Did you sign up for Monthly or Annual? If it was Annual, you have to buy out the subscription.

OP2 years ago**I meant to say cancelled the first or second day.

OP2 years agoI purchased on the wrong account, right. Accidents happen and I was told that the initial charge would be refunded. All three times I referred to the initial charge and was told it would be reversed. The other one was, though. It sounds like you are veering towards left-field. I am not responsible for eBay customer service being horrendously deficient today. 🤔😑
