Customer Serice Excellence - Cesar
Summary: ajmsneakerz shares a positive experience with an eBay representative named Cesar, who went above and beyond to resolve a dispute involving a scam. Despite eBay initially closing the case without resolution, Cesar personally took initiative to reopen it, ensuring ajmsneakerz got their money back. ajmsneakerz praises Cesar for his exemplary customer service and wishes more representatives would emulate his dedication, which would improve the general shopping experience and safety.
In today's busy world you'll find less and less true customer service. What you'll discover is how these companies don't offer true customer service and granted some customers expectations are beyond the scope of being realistic. There are some representatives that do understand a situation and will expedite it and get it handled.
I had a situation with eBay which is well known for not being the most customer service friendly business because they deal with so many unrealistic customers and their demands.
I had situation where a seller tried scam me and sell me damaged merchandise. Which when I went through the proper channels a filed a dispute with eBay, the dispute was closed without any feedback or single comment from me.
A few minutes after receiving this email from eBay, I received a call from a service rep, his name was Cesar. He called and told me that eBay closed my dispute but thank God, Cesar had seen it and reopened the closed dispute case. This was all done by Cesar. As far as eBay was concerned the case was closed, if not for Cesar's quick action I would've have been scammed and lost my money.
Well to make this story shorter, Cesar got involved and rectified the decision so it was a true reflection of the actual transaction and treated me like a valued customer of eBay and got the dispute reopened as well as my money back. I know for certain that if Cesar had not taken this under his wing I would have lost my money. Cesar is certainly in the top 1% of customer service reps I've spoken with over the last some 20 years. I want to make sure that Cesar is recognized for all his dedication to the customer, the unrelenting effort and dedicated hard work. If only more customer service reps where more caring, would go the extra step or two and really listened to their customersrs, shopping would be much safer and more positive experience. Alas shopping unfortunately now has become a place of scams and disloyalty. This saddens me to say that, but if more customer service reps had the attitude that Cesar had, I think shoppers would feel safer and more secure when doing their shopping.
Thank you Cesar for your hard work and thank you eBay for having someone like Cesaf on your staff.

·2 weeks agoI am so glad to hear that you had this experience. There are lots of stories like this, however they aren't stories that people typically come to a Forum like this to post. This type of forum pulls in the negative stories because more people are willing to believe them and talk about them. A feel good story doesn't usually get a lot of attention sadly.
Part of the reason so many go without getting proper customer service is because they simply don't venture out to see HOW TO get customer service. They just believe all the stories and ASSUME there is no real Customer Service.
At the top and bottom of every page in Ebay are links to contact Customer Service.
Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service. Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is. Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message. It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.

You will then get more options. Not all options are available 24/7. It will depend on staffing available. So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't. Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me. If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.
If you use a cell phone or other mobile device, you may need to turn off your Spam filter so that Ebay can call you.
