Critical App Bugs: Forced AI Lister & Mobile Form Freezes
eBay Mobile App & Engineering Team, I hope someone sees this and can advise.
I am writing to report severe usability issues with the latest eBay Android app changes that are preventing me from creating listings.
1. Forced AI/Magical Lister UI
My account appears locked into a test group that forces the auto-generating AI setup on every single new listing attempt. It triggers automatically on "List an Item," AND "Sell Similar," and when opening saved drafts. It routinely lags, freezes, and forces incorrect item specifics. There needs to be a toggle setting to disable this feature.
2. Form Input & Field Errors
Generic flat rate shipping choices (Standard/Economy) fail to appear unless explicit weight/dimensions are manually re-entered every time.
3. Impact on Selling
These forced updates completely disrupt standard inventory workflows. Creating a single listing now is nearly impossible and when it is, it takes four times longer due to app freezes and correcting auto-filled fields.
Please log this technical report and allow sellers to opt out of automated AI listing flows back to the standard multi-field editor.
These changes are horrendous.
