Correct a shipping cost error
My buyer wants to purchase my item but the shipping cost shown to him is over three times what it should be. I want to send an invoice but to do that I need to go to orders and select awaiting payment. But there is no order because the buyer is being told that immediate payment is reqired.

·1 month agoSounds like the buyer is in another country, and you are using EIS to ship the item in question - if not...
I suggest you follow krazzykats advice and check your listing for errors.

OP1 month agoNo. The buyer is the adjoining state, only 200 miles away.

·1 month agoEdit and update the shipping details for the item. Measure. weigh and use those numbers/dimensions.
If the cost is still too high, then I will send a refund to the buyer for the difference.

OP1 month agoeBay will only allow changes to shipping costs if the buyer is combining multiple items for single shipping or wants to upgrade shipping.

·1 month agoIf the buyer has NOT yet purchased the item, you should be able to change / update whatever you need to on the listing. If the buyer has actually purchased the item, then of course you are not allowed to change it.

·Sep 10, 2026 at 6:13 PMIt isn't clear if your post if the buyer actually has purchased the item yet? Have they?
What "shipping" icon are you clicking on? Where is it located.
If the buyer has NOT purchased the item yet, you can go into REVISE your listing and then down to the Shipping requirements for this specific listing. Look carefully at the information you have entered for size, weight and method of shipment.
