Bulk Editing is a Complete Mess (or listings)
Ebay has pushed me to bulk edit over the last couple of months and so today I thought I would do it just to refresh a few things.
Here are some of the issues I have encountered. I had to give up.
1. It start giving me errors that some listings couldn't be updated. They looked fine so I just canceled those edits
2. Then I started getting errors that information was missing on listings. ie Author etc. These listing wouldn't have been up in the first place if that was missing, it is a required field. Moreover, there were several fields it said it was missing.
3. Instead of ignoring the bulk edit interface on these I clicked on them individually to edit them and the error you see in the pic prevented me from editing at all.
This wasn't just one or two, this was a fair amount (maybe 12-17%) of listings that I was bulk editing. Various error but a common was missing required fields

·8 months agoThey are having all kinds of issues today. I use bulk editing daily. It usually works pretty well but today it's borked. I would not trust using it at all today
