Bidding
Item chosen for watch list, online for auction, click "place bid." Bid box was BLANK! Kept trying til time ran out. I tried bidding on other items; same thing, bidding box BLANK. Ebay should freeze that auction, fix it, start new auction. What is fair play??

·4 months agoI am actually having the exact same issue. I use latest version of Edge. Tried it with Chrome as well. Same result. Rebooted Machine. Deleted all cookies. Same Result. Tried logging in as different user. Same result. I can bid on the App just fine, so it is not an account issue. I have a ticket open with eBay on this.

·4 months agoI have no problems submitting bids using the latest version of Edge or Firefox on a Windows 10 machine. Have not tried Chrome.
Any difference if you temporarily disable your ad blocker? Or if you try a private or incognito browser window?

·4 months agoI've had no issues with this configuration until yesterday morning when it quit working. Have placed many bids pretty much daily with no issues till then. I didn't update any software here - but something could have updated itself? Turning ad block on/off has no effect. I just tried a private Edge Window. Exactly the same behavior, no change. I previously enabled pop-ups from ebay in the browser. No help. If I use the browser to inspect the dialog box it shows errors - but I'm not a technical guy so I don't know if that means anything at all. I'm kind of befuddled.

Have you tried any other browsers?

That version seems to be working for me.

What browser are you using? Latest version?
Any difference if you try another browser?
If you are using a keyboard number pad, make sure the "Num Lock" is on.

·4 months agoWhen you were placing your bid, did you also see a place for your method of payment?
If you do not put your payment information in your bid won’t be placed.
Edited to add…why should eBay upset a sellers auction and other buyers because of one buyer having an issue? eBay is not going to do as you suggested, it’s not eBay’s auction to be messing with since eBay doesn’t sell anything but space for sellers to sell.

OP4 months agoPayment info has been there for years; not my first rodeo. You're right...my 8 sec ride ended on a technicality. Losing an auction ruins my day.
