Autopay is being VERY deceptive!
Summary: trancehc expressed frustration with an autopay issue where payments were being processed within an hour, despite a previous 7-day delay aligned with combined shipping offers from a seller. eburtonlab suggested the seller might have changed settings, but trancehc noted combined shipping was still advertised. mam98031 explained that sellers need specific account settings for combined shipping, which are not visible to buyers, and advised contacting sellers directly before bidding to confirm payment terms.
Why is autopay sending payment in 1-hour when I set it to 7 days when I placed the bid? The seller offers combined shipping and autopay was always 7 days when I bought from this same seller a few weeks ago. I found that autopay is always 7 days when the seller offers combined shipping, but today its only 1 hour for some reason. I buy from many sellers and its always 7 day autopay when combined shipping is offered. Now I cannot buy more items since I'm wasting $ on shipping for each small item. What is this nonsense? The item listing should clearly show what the sellers autopay settings are so there is no buyer confusion. This autopay causes a plethora of packaging and energy waste, which is disgusting!

·3 weeks agoThere are specific settings inside a Seller's account that has to be set to allow this to happen. These are setting you can not see or have access to.
In the future, if you see a few things you want to bid on with a specific seller, send them a message FIRST and ask them to approve you or allow you to pay in 7 days. It is up to the seller to allow this, not you.

·3 weeks agoPerhaps the seller recently changed the setting to remove combined shipping or does not have other auctions ending in seven days.
Not all sellers like waiting seven days for auction payments.

OP3 weeks ago · EditedNo they didn't. it states 'save with combined shipping' under the item price and they have a rule setup for $1.00 shipping for each additional item. its a big seller with auctions ending everyday.

·3 weeks agoA seller can say that inside their description without having the settings inside their account to reflect that. I've done it for years.
