All Visa, MasterCard, American Express Amex Gift Cards NOT WORKING! July 21, 2023.
Why are all the Vanilla, Ufan, SecureSpend, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express (Amex) Gift Cards Not Working with any seller for any total amount At the EBay Checkout on the App or The WebBroswer?
Why are the GiftCards Issuing Banks Declining The Cards When You Try To Register The Cards With PayPal?
This Has Been Going On For Nearly Two Weeks Now. My account has not been Limited as far as I know, as I haven't Received Any Emails or EBay Messages Stating Othewise. I have No Outstanding Payments due, and have made most all payments prompt.
What is the Excuse for The Gift Cards Not Working At All On Ebay?
I am not linking a bank account to ebay. I am Not putting Anything on Google so Don't Even Ask, And I do not own an actual Credit card nor do I want one. I am debt free and intend to stay as such. Plus it is harder to have your life savings and identity stolen if a corporation doesn't have your personal bank account number or you Social security number, or state issued DL or Real ID Card. And as a bonus- us real people "us common folk" Don't Want to have to Pay for a LifeLock Subscription nor have the need to do so. Wouldn't you Agree?
So is this going to be fixed or not?
Because the cards work on other selling platforms. And some of the old cards that still had $30 or so bucks left on them that were used on eBay before this and No they're not expired, but they are no longer working either on ebay, but are working with other platforms. So this seems like it's an EBay Issue.
Sorry if I am a bit fussy, but this is really getting on my ever last nerve.
I am going to try looking on Amazon for a few of the items that I need, I can find some items there and Pay on Amazon at least.

·3 years agoHi, Been going on with me for 2 months now. Cards that I used in June will not work now, even though there are funds available on them. I used these cards only on ebay previous. Error message, could not process request please check information and retry or use another card.... only that doesnt work either. Pay pal and my primary account still work. I use gift cards to make specific purchases.... This problem needs fixed... asap.
Anybody having poor sales results .... my sales have been dismal. The non working gift and prepaid card issue is part of the problem.. That combined with auto payments has driven off my buyers... Also noted today that the format (layout) has changed again on the items viewing page. Someone at ebay just needs to leave everything alone. The more changes made the more problems that happen. These actions are causing my sales to be in the toilet and my buying to drop off as well.

·3 years agoSo sorry to hear your issue, I'm in the same boat!..wish I would have seen your post before I purchased a SecureSpend for an ebay purchase. My purchase was also denied along with trying to link it to a paypal account. When I spoke with a human at Visa the individual was extremely rude and told be to shop somewhere else or use the card in-person.
I gave mine to a friend and she made the purchase for me with her cc; other than that I'm guess ebay and Paypal are no longer able to process the payments...Visa automatically denies the transaction for "safety and security", so they say.

·3 years agoMaybe ebay does not take those anymore? There was a post on the Vanilla one where the poster was told that they could not be used online here but Ok at a physical store. That post was about 2 weeks ago.

I wish ebay's staff would confirm if this is true for all the gift card platforms aside from Vanilla One, there is still The Vanilla, Ufan and Secure Spend gift cards. If I can not use gift cards on the ebay platform that are good and accepted everywhere but apparently on ebay then I will have further use for ebay in the near future and will be terminating the account associated with ebay. But that is just how we have to do business, you don't accommodate the customer then they go elsewhere and you eventually go out of business. The way of the future, always about as grand as a leaky sewer pipe.
