AI will be the death of ebay!!!!
They are now relying more and more on AI and its failing. Example, I had 14 shipping defects do to a hospital stay (that is one of the valid reasons on the appeals section). All 14 appeals that took me 30 minutes to submit was DENIED in 10 min by AI. I called and spoke to buyer performance and a supervisor, they are not help. Those denied appeals cost me my top seller for this month by .04. Same thing is happening in other areas, especially appeals. Then I have 16 listing removed for counterfeit by AI. I sent 14 appeals (they were all the same situations) . AI denied 12 and approved 4, how could that happen if the appeal and the items all were the same situations? The later that day they reversed 4 more and left the other denied. 10 phone called and they never fixed the rest. It goes on and on

·1 year agoHow much we care about a business depends on who we are and what our priorities are.
During my time away from Ebay, I was selling on Amazon. I put my listings on vacation from the ER after they diagnosed my heart attack and told me I would be admitted.
I was confident that I was not going to die, and wanted a business to return to when I was able.

AI, as much as we are wary of it will continue to be a catalyst at keeping eBay from increasing seller fees at a faster rate.
AI is the main player of the game going forward.

·1 year agoIt will NOT be the death of ebay.
It will ONLY be the 'massive upswing' to sellers that know AI doesn't work and simply do things manually when half the sellers disappear because their titles and descriptions don't work.
Remember- if 75% of the sellers went away tomorrow, the 25% will just make more money and 100% of buyers will have NO clue that there USED to be 4,000,000 sellers selling that 'thingy' but now there's only 1,000,000.

·1 year agoAI is not that helpful with ebay agreed. Many people complain about it on this board all the time.
But what ebooksdiva said was pretty accurate.
It is unfortunate when a health issue occurs, no one knows when or where they will happen.
But as a seller, there has to be a contingency plan in place in the event that something happens.
There is no phone number that I am aware of that works anymore to contact ebay.
There is only a call back that can be placed from the help field as far as I am aware.
Many people use Facebook as well to contact ebay (as dumb as it sounds to me).
You appear to be angry and I am sorry for that. But this is just a board where we all try to help each other.
No reason to lash out at people trying to help you.
They probably just approved those 4 as a curtesy. Those curtesies are a one time only thing.
If you were in the hospital you should've had a family member put your listings on time away.
I never heard of a buyer performance department, oh wait you called eBay? Yea I don't think you actually were talking to eBay if you found the phone number on the web. eBay doesn't have a phone number published to the public for incoming calls since 2020.

OP1 year agobeen here 27 yrs I think I know ebay. I can call ebay any time I like because I know how and yes they have a seller performance department. a safety and trust department and authentic department and a returns department and I have spoken to them all many times. if the order were already taken, labels printed and then I went in how is time away going to help?

If you already had the orders and labels printed, have someone that can package and ship the items.
