Account suspended for being confused as to what ebay was asking for under business ownership
I'm really unhappy with what happened to me on eBay. EBay suspended my account and subsequently ended all of my account listings, deleting my store and all of my account metrics, promotions etc... I'm so disappointed and hurt that you would do this to your sellers (after 20yrs) under a ruse of a program "getting to know your sellers", then suspending/deleting their account if they cannot or don't know what you're asking for as proof of ownership under this programs guidelines. It's hard for a small business to get in touch with eBay if you have questions. If you look at my record you can see that I did comply with supplying a business certificate, EIN, government ID - passport and liscense, but the part of ownership confused me. I'm not sure why but I didn't know how to provide my business ownership under there guidelines. I have my corporate papers but is that what they wanted? In the middle of this, a week after submission without hearing anything my account was suspended at 2:30am EST, deleting my store, and the history of everything sold that faces my buyers. Deleting my credibility... I have a 100% satisfaction feedback but everything else is gone!!! This feels personal.

·2 years agoI see 5 feedbacks in the past 6 months- not much; is this for another account?

OP2 years agoI think there are plenty more. But, slow and steady is a good thing too.

·2 years agoThe account you are posting from shows 36 active listings. Does not look shutdown from my view.
Is this the account you refer to?

OP2 years agoYes- I eventually was able to create a letter that stipulated the ownership of my company with a signature. But the requests were unclear as to the ownership requirement and because of the confusion my account was suspended and shut down temporarily. But in that time all of my history, store, metrics, everything deleted. No getting the old information back. As you can see I have no store, no categories, my listings are new and have hardly any sales registered. My listings had #ers facing customers of how many units sold. This was my hard earned credibility to the customers, knowing that these are a good reliable product that they can buy. Some had 100s of units sold... My feedback is 100% positive.

·2 years agoSorry to hear of this debacle. I have not heard of a seller getting eBay deleted listings restored. I could not imagine starting over from scratch.
Best of luck moving forward.

OP2 years agoI relisted my all of the "ended" listings. My listings were "ended" not deleted, my mistake. You're right, things could have been worse. Thank you for your feedback.

·2 years agoIf I am not mistaken, when you use relist, the item defaults to the original quantity listed. So be careful with the quantity.
