Will eBay make a refund to a payment type that is different than the one used if I request it?

I made a purchase using a debit card for payment. I no longer have access to that debit card. The purchase was refunded to the debit card and I would like the refund posted to another payment type.

not how it works, if it did we would have scammers galore buying with stolen data and then getting refunds to a different system.... never going to happen...

No, the refund will go to your payment source,its automated. If you call your bank, they should be able to help you with this.
