If it's a debit card, contact your bank and see if there's a block that's keeping Ebay from being able verify the card.
I had to do that a few months ago.
I could buy items, but they couldn't verify the card.

OP1 year agoI’m using a cash app debit card with visa, I wouldn’t think it would work . It verifies when putting it into my account yet not on my checkout thing. , it’s really weird.

·4 months agoThis is an old thread and the moderators will close it soon, so it's probably best to start a new one. When you do, I suggest specifying which type of card you're using (the issuer and the network, such as Visa, Mastercard, etc), including whether it is a debit or credit card. If it's debit, I know many buyers have had to call their bank and confirm they were actually the ones using it, as it was being blocked for security reasons.

If you are using it for a bid or an offer, it may not support the reversible payment hold necessary for such things.
You may still be able to use it for buy-it-now items, or offers or auctions where the seller does not require a payment method specified in advance.
