I'm confused about not accepting pre-paid gift cards as they work just like credit cards.
For the OP:
You may have to go the the gift card website and register the card. This isn't necessary for when you use the card in person, but for online purchases you may have to.
To register the card you enter your info like you would for any bank account. This gives your gift card a 'billing address' that you can put in the required fields when you purchase on ebay.
It is possible that they are not allowed, but I didn't see anything pertaining to that on the link provided by another poster in this thread. Maybe I missed it.
Try registering your card and then re-attempt to purchase. Maybe it will work.

·1 year agoThere is nothing confusing. They've been blocked since last summer. The gift card eBay accepts is an eBay gift card.
They accept a credit or debit card linked to your account, a card with your name on it.
