I am writing to seek assistance regarding the verification process for my eBay account. I am currently residing in the United States on a B2 visa and am in the process of transitioning to an F-1 visa with the help of my attorney. During the verification process, I encountered a requirement to provide a Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).
As a Turkish citizen, I do not possess an SSN or ITIN at this time. When registering, I indicated that I am living in the United States, but I did not select the option indicating that I am a U.S. citizen.
Could you please advise me on how I can proceed with the account verification process given my current circumstances? Is there an alternative piece of information or documentation that I can provide to complete the verification?

·2 years agoUnless you are a citizen or become one of the U.S. then you of course wouldn't have the identification requested to allow you to work/receive income. Also the B2 visa is for travel/tourism and you can not work under this visa.
Per Shoreline immigrations website:
"As stated above, B1 and B2 visa holders are not permitted to work in the U.S. If a B visa holder is offered a position in the U.S. or finds another means of legally working in the country, they will need to apply for a U.S. work permit. Generally, it won’t be possible to change a B1/B2 visitor visa to a work visa due to time constraints."
You should seek advice from your attorney on these matters. I'm sure he could have told you the same info quicker than it took me to google that.
