Verify bank account-- FIVE days and still no microdeposits! What gives??
Just what it says. Where are these microdeposits? I was supposedly paid on 3 March 2023 and it's 8 March 2023 -- I haven't seen these deposits so I can get my payment. I haven't sold for a couple years and really don't like these new policies. Entering my SSN and bank account makes me very uncomfortable. And no more payments via PayPal? I've been with eBay for fifteen years and this new stuff is ridiculous. Ebay makes it easy to buy and hard to sell, doesn't make sense..

·3 years agoSame here. It's so different now for sellers than it used to be. The help page consists of many reasons why a payment can be on hold! I just did a 3 day auction. Buyer paid and it says estimated payout April 4th! And I didn't get the micro deposit yet anyway. I was also shocked at the selling fees 12.5% Mama Mia! Good day 😎

OP3 years agoYou look like you retired young! I am at the age where I need to get rid of things from over the years. Funny how some stuff is so important when you're younger. I have a couple years before I retire so it's time to downsize. Some things I'll be able to sell and a lot of things to just donate or give away. Maybe I just need to adjust my way of thinking and go with the flow here. After all, it is much safer than craigslist or FB marketplace.

·3 years agoI really think if you give it a shot, like millions of us have, you will like MP. Even tho I only sell very occasionally now, I still get my funds deposited within three days..so it is a pretty good system.Once you get a few more sales under your belt, you should be ok with the deposits.

·3 years agoSorry to hear you are having trouble. You cant request a pay out yet because your funds are on hold, maybe for thirty days.As for the micro deposits, its usually about three business days, thats monday thru friday. And double check that your acct and routing numbers are correct, along with your name, it has to match exactly the name on your acct. If all thats correct, and you dont get the deposits, go to Ebay for Business on Facebook, use the message link on the upper right. These are US based, American, Ebay employees, and they are extremely helpful. You can ask them about the deposits. Good luck.

OP3 years agoHey Bon- I got things figured out. Evidently something was entered wrong with my bank info and ebay had to override it so I could enter correct info. Not sure what was incorrect but ebay needed to delete info and I re-entered bank account. I now will not have microdeposits to report and my money should be accessible in forty eight hours. Thank you again for your time!

·3 years agoI expect even after the deposits, your funds may be held for up to thirty days. With no recent selling history,and that recent $650 sale, Ebay prefers that any refunds come out of your pocket, not theirs.They will treat you as a new seller.Ive been with Ebay twenty three years, what does that have to do with MP? I can only speak for myself, I like the MP..been using it for over two years..no problems.

OP3 years agoYeah, ebay really has changed since when I joined back in '98. I know their glory days are in the rearview mirror but making it more difficult for sellers now is certainly no solution. I am (and you, as well) are of the pioneer sellers that MADE ebay a successful company, so for them to treat me like I'm a new member is somewhat of an insult. But I guess that should be expected of the company that they've become.

·3 years agoUnfortunately, and I dont mean this snarkily at all..a sense of entitlement for how long you've been here doesnt matter at all. The rules are the same for everybody, and with no recent selling history, your funds will be held until you prove again that you are a trustworthy seller. I do wish you good luck.

OP3 years agoNo offense taken and you are right. I guess "seniority" doesn't count for much these days. The new rules here seem to be geared for the buyer's advantage. A seller cannot give a buyer negative feedback? Wow, thanks ebay. And no more paypal is what I really don't get. Ebay buys out paypal twenty years ago so they can control it and make more money. Then eight years ago they sell it off. So because they don't make money on it anymore it's not allowed? I'm just glad I made the money off ebay years ago before everyone and their brother came here and ebay screwed everything up. Believe it or not, I did so well that I did pay taxes on my ebay income back in the day. I sound jaded because I am. I just want to get a few things sold here and delete my account. I do wish you luck as well.

·3 years agoThank you,since my retirement, Im a very occasional seller myself now. I believe it was PP that ended the contract with Ebay, and so many of these huge sites have switched over to MP now.Its just the wave of the future I guess. Some sellers left because of it, just because some people are unable to adjust to any changes.I try to go with the flow,and like I said, have had no problems with MP at all..I like that quick deposit into my bank account,with no effort on my part, LOL..
