Unpaid sold item, fraudulent Ebay fee.
A fee was charged for an item that was never paid for, by the Buyer. There is no transaction ID, no record of payment, and customer support cannot even locate the listing. Per eBay's unpaid item policy, I should not be charged this fee. I request the fee be reversed.
Invoice ID: 013118-11999721540011
Item ID: 292171121533
Buyer : *** , unpaid, item Bicoin miner s5 antminer bitmain Sale Price: GBP 1,290.00 Item #: 292171121533 Date Sold: 07/13/2017
The buyer was reported back then and the buyer (user) is non existing on ebay plattaform either anymore. wich can explain why NO records are shown on my seller's portal.
Even after contacting multiple customer support agents ( Dawn, Mohd Zishan, Sagar, Shamrin, and Sanjana) i received no meaningful assistance. The responses were automated, and the chat was closed without resolving my issue, leaving me without support.
This issue has been ongoing for nearly 8 years. I have repeatedly requested help, and at this point, I can only conclude that this is fraudulent activity on eBay’s behalf.
So who's gonna resolve my issue when the live support is incompetent?

·1 year agoBefore Managed Payments, fees were assessed at the moment of the sale. If the buyer did not pay, the seller had to file a non paying bidder dispute to get their fees back. If my memory serves correctly, sellers had 30 days to do so after a listing ended.
@ascko_7 Since you failed to timely notify eBay that your buyer did not pay, eBay had no way to know the item was unpaid and that the final value fees needed to be reversed.

OP1 year agoI tried to sell once, never again.
Having a false account bidding , not paying and Ebay support being one of the worst in the world with uncomprehensive and unintelligent human bots.
The fee applied to my account is Fraudulent and should be removed, enforced by their own policies, when i contacted about this issue i was told to wait, here i am waiting...

Yeah come back and let us know if that actually happens. CS has a reputation of telling you what you want to hear to either get you off the phone or end a chat .

OP1 year agoIndeed, hasn't happened.
Custommer support now have claimed with several lies different things,
"fees can't be applied"
"they cant see the system",
"It's been rejected by the higher seats"
"it's old"...
When does this issue convert into a legal issue? i contacted Ebay back then when this was fresh and they told me to wait that the fee would dissapear, now it's been almost 10 years and they won't remove and are trying to fetch free money.
This can't be nothing more than fraudulent and illegal?

Nobody.
You are S.O.L.
The time to report a unpaid item is 4 days after paying, and then for a period of 30 days thereafter.

Sorry, but no one can resolve an issue that's over 7 years old, to the best of my knowledge.

I am not sure that anything can be done about an item that was sold almost 8 years ago, in 2017. Did you follow up at the time? I'm sure there was more to the story back then. The usual reason why eBay would still charge fees in this situation, is because they had reason to believe that the sale was completed off eBay, to avoid the fees. The fees were different that long ago, but this fee still applies for private sellers who don't reside in the UK.
However, it was sold on eBay UK, in GBP, so you would have to follow up with eBay customer service on eBay UK about this.

It's quite strange that the listing still persists, on eBay.com.

OP1 year agoAs pointed, this issue was taken with customer service back then, they said as the Buyer was banned the issue should resolve by it self.
I've contacted m ultiple times the past 8 years and there is no resolution to this and has always been the same automated responses or unwilling to help were the customer service just shuts the chat.
I can see all the purchased items back to 2013 why would a sold item not be listed on my seller records?
