Unable to use gift cards
I bought four 200$ ebay gift cards to purchase a phone. While trying to redeem initially it stated code cannot be applied and then when i retried it says zero balance in code. Same with all the 4 cards. Spent several hours with chat support but no success. Anyone know what could be wrong?

Is the seller registered in the US?
How soon after purchasing the cards did you try to use them? They take up to 4 hours to become activated.

·3 years agoHave a receipt that you actually bought them or a receipt from the person you bought them from? Without a receipt there's no much you can do.

·3 years agoIt has to be in the form of a receipt like at a store or an online store with all the information. Name, address, date, amounts and so on. Is eBay the name on the gift cards? Are they bank gift cards? So many different gift cards out there.

OP3 years agothe digital cards have ebay logo in it. i have provided all the pictures i had to Customer service . Hope they reload the card and activate it in 7 days.

I are leery purchasing digital products because email can be easily intercepted and codes get stolen and the card gets drained.
