I didn t sell my my item, bcs ai couldn t, I work abroad and I explained it also to a buyer, I didn t recieve a payment, bcs eBay holt it. A buyer s money was refunded but now eBay wanna charge my bank account and I have to pay taxes? For what? You just holt a payment and sent it back to a buyer and now you wanna charge me. So is this normal that I should pay taxes from nonexisting money?pls solve my problem. I tried to find a help, but you don t protect a seller

·7 months agoYou apparently assumed that selling on Ebay was a way to get some money fast. You assumed incorrectly.
As a new seller the payment for the item you sold would not be sent to you for up to 30 days, after your buyer received the item.
Since you did not ship the item, Ebay wants your money from your payment method, including their fees. When the hold expires, you will receive the payment which was held.
Matters might even be slower if you are using PayAbility.

'didn't receive a payment'...but...'buyer's money was refunded'...can you see this doesn't make sense?
You get charged for an item sold.
You cancel the sale...but you still have to pay up the eBay fee.
eBay doesn't care why you cancel the sale.
Payment will come from your 'bank account' or if not...your eBay account will probably close and you will not be able to sell again...even if you try to open a new account.

·7 months agoYup, it sounds like you owed the FVFs not taxes. There is no problem as you do owe the money to ebay.
Also, you may be seeing that the refund came from your payment source. If so, you will get that money back once the buyers funds are no longer on hold. But you still will owe the FVFs

Then you didnt ship it because of many excuses. eBay holds payments, work abroad .....
Buyer requests refund for item not received.
eBay refunds buyer.
You owe FVFs on item you sold and didint ship and let eBay handle the refund.

Are you certain that it's for taxes and not the final value fee for a item you sold?
More details would help.
Incidentally, when you post here, you are not addressing eBay. These Boards are covered by fellow eBay buyers and sellers who volunteer their time here to help others when we can.
