No legitimate seller offers free return shipping if you do not like the car
No legitimate seller would ask for payment in gift cards
If you see a vehicle on the internet and are interested in it - Contact the seller and go inspect the vehicle in person, or hire someone in that area to inspect it for you. If for any reason the seller says you can't inspect the vehicle - it more than likely does not exist.
Are you sure you actually made this purchase on eBay -- or did you originally see this vehicle on another website (such as Craig's List or Facebook Marketplace), and you were told that the final sale would be handled by eBay?
Did you also possibly make any payments using gift cards?
And why have you waited "about 2 years" before questioning this purchase?

If you paid with gift cards, the vehicle wasn't stolen, your money was.
There never was a vehicle, just a thief wanting your money.
