Some sales go to processing while others go to hold?
Hi, I'm a new seller. Basically just selling part of my collection/hoardings. I'm about two weeks in, having sold some stuff before years ago.
My question is that I will sell an item, get a label, and then off in the mail it goes. Then the funds are on hold until it is confirmed delivered. Except that's not always the case.
Sometimes, like tonight, I sold an item and printed the label two hours before writing this, and the funds are processing and will be available to payout soon. Other items I sold after that are on hold until a week or more from now once the delivery is confirmed. It's been happening randomly and I don't understand why.
I assumed it would all be on hold until delivery is confirmed. Atleast until I build up my selling record. I'm happy that some money comes to me quicker and is available to atleast use to cover shipping. I just don't see any pattern as to why some things go to hold and others go to me instantly.
Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks everyone who bothers to read this!

As for holding I think it depends on the item and category and the cost and maybe even who the buyer is. There's really no rhyme or reason why the hold is random. Typical eBay.
