seller needs some help
Has anybody had a situation to where a customer buys apart customer install said part uses said part till dryer break it and then calls to want their money back does not go through eBay go straight to their bank and has the bank withdraw the money out of my account so they stole from me. just looking for some info on what I need to do or am I wasting my time and should I give up and let this person have over $100 in their pocket?? And just FYI in case it's not out there if the buyer does not go through eBay and go's straight to the bank to get their money eBay will not help you because now you're not covered underneath eBay seller protection.(because they didn't stay in ebay to handle the situation.)
This is a trick that my thief figured out how to get around eBay. Sorry for my rant just looking for help to fix my situation

·5 months agoThis often occurs when a seller sells an item as Brand New and the buyer is refused warranty replacement of the failed product by the manufacturer.
Ebay does not require that NEW products have the manufacturer's warranty but the credit card issuers will usually rule in the buyer's favor when a dispute for this reason is opened.

·5 months agoThis is very old news and very old game people have been playing buying on the interwebs for over a decade.
Nothing can be done except just average out the pluses to the minuses and it averages better than most 'brick/mortar' stores.

Did the buyer perform a chargeback with his/her payment institution? And, if so, did eBay pull the money from you?

·5 months agoThe only fix is to sell for cash.
It happens all the time and not much a seller can about it.
Be lucky it wasn't a couple thousand dollars.
