received message from ebay that item i sold was made to a fraud account.
I received today a message from ebay that a i had come in contact with a fraud. That they had cancelled the order but I already had shipped the order. Will ebay take back the payment I received?
What do you guys think is my best option. I can't seem to get anyone on ebay directly unless I pay $5.00 to ebay chat expert?
How do I know if this was a real message from ebay?

And sometimes you might get the item returned from 'address incomplete'...an added bonus.

OP8 months agoIf ebay cancelled the order. I thought of going to USPS and trying to stop the package/ in other words have it returned to me since it has not been received yet? But if you think everything will be ok?

·8 months agoI've had this happen several times. Usually at least once a year. The message you get from ebay is a copy/paste form letter. If you've already shipped it, you're fine. Since the buyer is no longer registered, they literally cannot open a complaint about the item. And if there is a chargeback you are covered by seller protections. Nothing to worry about, you will be OK 🙂

THIS is the part that screams "scam". No legitimate ebay employee will charge you for support.

Buyer got their item and I got my payment.
