question about payouts
I keep all of my receipts from my sales and then reconcile them with my weekly payout. I have noticed a pattern. I will use today's payout as an example. I sold 2 items on September 11 (yesterday). The sales happened during the day, but I didn't print the labels until the evening. The shipping fees from both of those sales was on my payout, both as debits. But the credits for the items sold were not there. Yes, I know they will be there on my next payout. I have been curious as to why the debits post before the credits. It happens a lot with me. Anyone else notice this too?

OP3 years agoThanks @monica-sells that makes sense. I hadn't thought of it that way.

·3 years agoit is simply a matter of logistics....
incoming sales needs a day or two for the processor to execute the sale. When that is complete it is posted back to ebay.
The shipping labels and other associated fees with the sale are posted in 'real-time' on your ebay account, and held (kind of in escrow) until funds are available.
Once the 'third-party' processing is posted your account will come into 'balance', with you receiving the surplus once the 2 different entities reconcile.
