Please eBay community help me call America police for this seller. He refused to refund me my hard earned money

Please eBay community help me. I paid this seller for this Benz . I made deposit of 250$ through eBay and wired him 5340$ to his bank account . He didn鈥檛 want to give me the tittle. He cancel the order . I got a refund of the 250$. But he don鈥檛 want to refund me the 5340$. He is not replying me and he have relist this Benz on eBay again . Some body should help me call police for this seller! I want my refund of 5340$ from this seller. He is not replying my message for past 1month now

Had the seller not (allegedly) stolen your money and had he credited you with the payment, how would he have gotten the car to you in Nigeria?
And who and would pay to pack and ship? I can't imagine that $5590 would pay for the car PLUS shipping to Africa.

OP3 weeks agoI have a freight forwarder at Texas that helps me ship /pick up and ship depending on the location in states . I usually ship with Grimaldi from states to Lagos tin can port. It is roro shipping. Ok

If you wired the seller a payment directly to the seller's bank account, you violated an eBay rule regarding completing a sale off eBay.
Since eBay would not have an official record for a transaction completed away from the eBay site, eBay cannot be of assistance.
It sounds as if you were able to be refunded the $250 that was transacted on eBay; but the $5340 was not conducted on eBay -- so eBay has no record for that payment.
As others have mentioned, you will need to hire an attorney who is licensed to practice law in the American state where the $5340 was sent -- but you have not indicated which state that might have been.
Sorry the news isn't good -- but you should never take a sale off eBay if a sale actually began on eBay.

But we international buyer are restricted to complete purchase at eBay motors after we made an initial deposit due to we don鈥檛 have American driver鈥檚 licenses number , Unlike before , That is why we usually wire the balance . My apologies to eBay community for violation.. pardon me ok .we are just hustling to to make a living 馃檹

路3 weeks agoeBay motors car payments are handled outside of eBay except for the deposits. So direct payment to the seller would be the norm. Car listings are at a fixed rate. So there is no taking the sell off the platform. Suggest reading how eBay Motors Car sales are handled.

路3 weeks agoFlorida is the worst state in the union for helping in internet theft. From experience, they claim the crime's jurisdiction belongs in the location that you are in, not the location of the sent/received items or money, but the origin of the transaction.

OP3 weeks agoYes, im a Nigerian , but i residence in Guangzhou China.. right now . I鈥檓 in Nigeria for business. I have been an eBay for 9years now. I have been buying cars and different kind of medical and industrial equipment. I bought the car in question from eBay. I have a freight forwarder that handle all my shipping at Texas. I ned someone that can call police for this seller. I pray we have a police officer as ebayer
