Is anyone else having an issue with eBay holding payment? EBay is holding my payment for FIN not matching what IRS says. This seems foolish since I have been an eBay customer for 27 years using the same FIN. They keep saying they sent me a request to verify my number but I never received it. They were going to resend it in 48 hours but I still have not received that either and they are still holding my funds. It looks like they are suffering a mismanagement mess like Cracker Barrel. Can anyone shed some light on what is going on.

What is "FIN"? Do you mean TIN?

Have you been asked to provide a Form W-9 to verify your Tax ID Number (TIN)?

eBay has only been required to collect your SSN and/or EIN in the last few years, so they haven't had it for that long. You probably had given it to PayPal, if you were a seller back before managed payments.
