Payout Not Released After Appeal Granted – Need Managed Payments Escalation
Summary: insidestraightdraw expressed frustration about not receiving a payout after an appeal was granted and sought help with managed payment escalation. In response, kibble-net and kensgiftshop engaged with insidestraightdraw, but the issue persisted. insidestraightdraw requested assistance from eBay representatives, mentioning past communication problems leading to considering filing complaints with BBB and CFPB, and possibly a Small Claims Court case. devon@ebay advised contacting eBay Customer Support directly due to the sensitive nature of the information, although insidestraightdraw reported non-responsiveness from them.
Hi, I need help with a payout that has been stuck for weeks despite an approved appeal and multiple written confirmations from eBay support.
Item: 136806721253 Tracking: 92612903617237541501392400 (Delivered April 3, 2026) SR#: 1‑505078245313, 1‑5059849250645 Username: insidestraightdraw
Here’s the situation:
Buyer opened an INR case after a carrier delay
I followed eBay’s instructions and filed a UPS claim
Package was delivered
The Appeals Team reviewed the case and granted the appeal in my favor
Three different eBay reps confirmed in writing that the payout was released and would appear in 24–48 hours
The payout never arrived
I’ve been given contradictory information, including an incorrect note that I “voluntarily refunded” the buyer (I did not)
On May 19, I was told the case was “re‑filed” on May 14 and that I would receive the payout by May 29
That date has passed with no payout
This appears to be a Managed Payments system error where the refund reversal never executed after the appeal was approved.
I’ve already provided all documentation, including the delivery confirmation and the appeal approval.
Can a moderator please escalate this to the Managed Payments team or the appropriate back‑office group? I simply need the payout released for the delivered item.
Thank you.

·4 months agoIf it was shipped USPS, why would they tell you to file a claim with UPS?
What was the outcome of the UPS claim?
insidestraightdraw
OP4 months agoIt was shipped via UPS; eventually delivered by USPS. Hybrid shipment.
UPS initially granted the Claim, however they needed information from eBay (who were very slow to provide) and by the time UPS got the information they needed for the Claim from eBay, USPS delivered the package -- 2 MONTHS LATER. So then UPS rescinded / reversed the Claim and that's when I filed an appeal with eBay -- which was granted in my favor 4 separate times...however the money was never refunded to me.
Very frustrating!

Hi @insidestraightdraw.
Please get back in touch with our payments team here so they can let you know the status and help get those released if they have not already. Due to the security of your funds you will need to be verified to have this looked at, so they will be able to help!

OP4 months agoHi Elizabeth - thanks for your reply, however when i checked payment status on the link you provided, it only says "Your funds have been released and are now available for payout" ....which is not true. There is not place to "get back in touch" as you say. Please advise.

OP4 months ago@devon@ebay , @elizabeth@ebay Would love to, however they're completely non-responsive...hence needing to file BBB and CFPB complaints, post desperate pleas here, etc. Considering filing a Small Claims Court case as well
