Payoneer Account Hacked & All Money Stolen
***Payoneer Hacked***
eBay forced me to move from PayPal to Payoneer with no other option. Then just recently a hacker was able to access my Payoneer account, switch the 2FA to his own number without triggering any notification and cleared out my entire funds
The website is designed to make it near impossible to find a contact number, and when I finally did I had to call New York which then routed to a lady in Guatamala who had no clue what to do and barely spoke English.
No money was recovered.
Let this be a warning to all.

·6 months agoThe cause of many of these problems and many major corporate hackings is the same as your problem. You clicked a link on an email that you should not have.
Lots of luck getting any help from Payoneer, who has a poor reputation for responsiveness to any of their customer's problems.
Payoneer is risky, but international sellers who are serious about their business explore an account with a US-based affiliate of their home bank account and transfers from that account to their offshore account.

OP6 months agoA security expert friend has been helping me look at this. The first part is on me, it looks like I got a copyright notice for my band (we do sometimes) but this one the legal firm was fake and the "letter" installed a virus.
However I had 2FA enabled, but it failed completely. My security friends assessment is the failure on Payoneers part though are:
1) no login in notification
2) no new recipient notification
3) 2FA contact number changed by hacker with no notification
4) no real direct to security tel number clearly displayed. Security number routes to untrained normal call centre staff
5) chat bots don't cover urgent hack cases
6) long delays for IVR on all numbers
7) frequent drop calls due to routing "US number" to Guatamala
😎 slow response of staff to lock recipient number or temporary lock was unlocked by accident.
Payoneer are accepting no responsibility because of the virus
In comparison Wise was also hacked but their log in notification & 2FA worked perfectly and no money lost

Wowzer. I'm in the USA and don't have to use Payoneer. You need to contact them immediately. Good luck and good golly...
