Payments on hold
I recently sold an item on eBay, and while the tracking information confirms the item was delivered to the buyer, eBay is still holding my funds. This is because the tracking information hasn't been automatically updated to reflect delivery within eBay's system, even though the item was physically delivered to the buyer. I contacted eBay support 4 days ago and provided them with the tracking number for this order, which clearly shows delivery to the buyer's address, and the buyer also messaged me to confirm he received the item, plus he left a positive review. The eBay agent I talked with seemed very nice and said they can absolutely release my funds, as they have proof that the item was delivered. I was told they would release my funds in 1 day. That was 4 days ago and they have not released my funds yet.
This is extremely frustrating, as this was a large item and it is a large amount of money. How long will they hold my money that I worked for, if the tracking info doesn’t update to delivered, and is there any way I can manually mark this item delivered?

·1 year agoWelcome to the world of eBay screwing over sellers more and more each day... fees keep creeping up and these payout holds applying more broadly and for longer periods with zero explanation. The simple answer: They are holding ALL sellers funds as long as possible to improve their cashflow and overnight borrowing fees.
