I‘m not understanding ebays returns. The customer paid but later said her card did not go through and if i can cancel the order. There was No payout! I cancelled it but ebay was requesting the refund from my bank account. How does that work if i did not receive any payout for that item.

·3 years agoThat they need to take the money from your bank account doesn't necessarily mean that you got a payout.
Even if you cancel 5 minutes after payment was made, there's not enough money in your MP account to issue the refund because even though the buyer gets a full refund, you are on the hook for the 30-cent fee that ebay retains.
Ebay refunds don't split the payment between your managed payment account and a bank so they go to the bank account for the full amount. If there hasn't been a payout yet, you will get it.

·3 years agoIt sounds like the payout did go through. If there were not enough funds in your account for the refund, Ebay will take it from your payment source. Have you checked Sellers Hub?

·3 years agoAs @bonjourami said, check seller hub in the payments tab and all transactions. See what you can find out there.
On refunds, if there is not enough in your account because of a recent payout, you might have to add a credit card so the refund can process.
If this was a fraudulent credit card purchase, I am not sure how that might pan out.
