Vent, vent, vent. I have a 20+ year history with eBay and carry a 100% FB throughout. Now eBay tells me I am unworthy of receiving a pay-out until the item is delivered, via Media Mail, during the holiday season. I will let eBay's robotic assistant come up with a few choice words to describe my perception of my relationship with eBay. Have been toying with reasons to hang up my eBay business and I will add this to the pile of final straws.

(Note my primary account would reflect over 2000 FB in case anyone wants to poo-pah the 34.)

So, I shipped the item immediately, customer very happy, left positive feedback but Ebay is still holding my funds BECAUSE THEY CAN.

I see this as illegal, certainly immoral.

Policy states buyer must have no complaints...he doesn't.

WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS PRACTICE IS THIS....

I will not be using Ebay for anything anymore....

One $464 sale in the past year. (ever) eBay considers you a "new infrequent seller". To protect the buyer, and to protect eBay in case there is a problem. Buyer is happy now, but the eBay MBG allows the buyer to become unhappy for up to 30 days. Any unhappiness is going to be covered by the seller without eBay having to chase down the money.

New or infrequent sellers will experience transaction holds while learning best selling practices. This helps sellers become established and build a strong selling history on eBay. New sellers typically experience holds for up to 30 days, although sometimes it may be longer
High priced items or unusual selling patterns may lead to transaction holds for up to 30 days to help us ensure that buyers don't have any issues with the order
