Payment on hold--SS#

Hello all,

This morning eBay notified me that they were holding my funds for my most recent sale because they need my SS#. I have no problem providing eBay with my SS#--I know they need it for tax purposes, so I promptly sent it. My question is, how long will it take eBay to process my SS# and release my funds? Thanking you in advance for your response.

Shouldn't take a long time.

They probably won't notify you.

You will have to keep checking everyday until the hold is gone.

Best time is usually after 9PM every night to check it.

Did you also add your checking account number and routing number? All of this is necessary to be paid through Managed Payments. Funds are deposited to your checking account. New sellers are subject to 30 day hold on funds.

New or infrequent sellers will experience transaction holds while learning best selling practices. This helps sellers become established and build a strong selling history on eBay. New sellers typically experience holds for up to 30 days, although sometimes it may be longer

All eBay asked for is my SS#. They already have my checking account info and have been depositing funds after each sale. I've now sold 12 items, so I have a little experience selling--not a brand new seller. In their message to me, eBay said they needed my SS# because of my increased sales. Anyway, was just wondering how long it will take before funds are released. I'll keep checking my account. Thank you.
