Hello, I recently sold an item on EBay, the buyer paid for the item and I shipped it out in a timely manner. The item was shipped via USPS, was delivered, and from what I onow was not damaged in any way. I received my money for the item from eBay. Now I received a payment dispute, the buyer is saying they do not recognize the transaction. It says the buyer is disputing directly with their payment institution. I provided EBay with my information showing the item was purchased, shipped, and delivered. I am waiting to hear something back. Anyone ever have this happen? I believe the buyer is running a scam, should I be concerned EBay may ask for my money back? Thank you for the help.

·3 weeks agoIn these cases, the buyer may be refunded , but not from you. As long as you did everything properly on eBay and responded within the necessary time frames you should be keeping the money. However, depending on how much money we are talking about....don't spend it just yet

The credit card issuer will provide the information on the sale and your representation to the buyer, who will decide whether to proceed with the dispute.
I would include the name of the item purchased in the response I sent to Ebay.

As long as you responded to the case with the info ebay requested, the case will eventually close in your favor.
Ebay will verify that you shipped to the "ship to" address as shown on the order, that tracking shows delivery and if the total payment was $750 more, there was online signature confirmation, you will be protected.
How long ago did you sell the item? I don't see any listings or sales on your account.

If a person reports their card as 'stolen' usually both the Buyer wins and ebay 'might' do a 'seller coverage' for the amount. Sometimes not. I would think the bank could easily see an address if ONLY the Seller would do a screen shot of the order showing the address- then the bank could see if address matches CC address. Most don't do that when fighting a 'Not Recognized' BC.
