over charged for shipping label
This is the 3rd time this has happened. One item I shipped out measured 81x9x8 and the listing is now showing me the details and fees and such, and it says the shipping label cost was $172sor there abouts. They over charged me almost $100 extra. After all the red flags I had to go thru with eBay, I finally got refunded the overage. Now, I shipping out another item, shipping at the time I bought the label was $59.47. Every time I try to get help from eBay, their site just takes me to all these help answers, which none of them match this case regarding the overage. I really dislike eBay any more. Used to I could actually reach them on a real phone number, now they don't offer a way to do that and make it so hard to even get ahold of an automated system so I can maybe get a call back. Is anyone else having issues with being over charged for your shipping labels??And can someone PLEASE tell me HOW to reach a help section that will take me somewhere other than all their automated **bleep** and help links that take me nowhere.

·4 months agoWhy do you do free shipping for all of that stuff? You’re losing a lot you make just on shipping.
Even making the customer pay half of the shipping cost is better than just doing it for free.

I see some with $200 to $350 shipping.

·4 months agoRunning boards? Yes, you were charged correctly for the oversized package and it would have happened with whichever carrier you used.

But, more importantly, you left out all the pertinent information for anyone to help you
From WHAT zip to WHAT zip?
What dimensions?
What weight?
What carrier? (Fedex, UPS, USPS)
Note that when using Fedex/UPS- the price is 'just an estimate' and the carrier will give the final pricing (LOTS of surcharges later- Oversize, Residential etc.)

I assume that was a typo and you meant 18x9x8? If it was truly 81 inches long, you'd be in for some oversize package surcharges if they would even deliver it.
What carrier and service did you use? The process for disputing an overcharge, and the situations in which you might be legitimately charged more than you expect, are all carrier and service dependent.
