Can you walk out of Macy's without paying? How about getting a #1 meal at the McDonalds drive thru and driving away without paying? Give the buyer exactly 4 days (96 hours and 1 minute)after the auction ended to pay. No payment, cancel the transaction with the excuse BUYER DID NOT PAY. Block the buyer and relist.
Make sure that you get the payment in MY ebay. If the payment does NOT show there, you did NOT get paid. IS your buyer pressuring you to ship? That is the sign of a scammer preying on fresh meat, you, an inexperienced ebay seller. All payments will say MANAGED PAYMENTS. Do not exchange phone numbers or email addresses with your buyer unless you want them to rip you off. That is the ONLY reason why a buyer will ask for your email address. DO NOT GIVE IT TO THEM.
Do not ship until you are paid. Make sure the payment is made thru the Ebay platform... no other. You'll see it on your seller hub and Ebay will tell you to "ship it." If they don't pay you within 4 days, on day 5 cancel the sale citing the buyer didn't pay. Then block that buyer from further not paying you.
New sellers should really avoid auction style listings as you are targets for scammers and non payers. I would list all your items at a fixed, buy it now price with immediate payment required. NO best offers either or you will continue to chase your money.
NO. If you are receiving any emails or texts that do tell you to ship so you can get paid, they are trying to steal your item. Always verify payment yourself. Please read some of the links on the right ------>

Well, no, you don't ship before the buyer pays. BUT, that is different than you getting money in your bank account. It is an important distinction.
If the buyer hasn't paid, the order should be in your "orders awaiting payment" in the seller hub. But, if it is in the "orders awaiting shipment," then you need to ship within your stated handling time.
"If a customer hasn't paid, and it has been 2 days, do I have to ship before I get paid?"
NO ! Never ever, never send your item before you receive a notice from eBay that it is OK to send. eBay sends those notices to the sellers after the buyer's payment has been confirmed by eBay.

Absolutely NOT!
You never ship until you're PAID!
If after the 5th day you don't receive payment you can cancel for nonpayment.

·3 years agoAbsolutely do not ship until the buyer has paid. It will change from Awaiting payment to Awaiting shipment and then you ship.
They have 4 days to pay. Don't send an invoice or a reminder. eBay does that.
If they don't pay then on the 5th day cancel the transaction citing the buyer didn't pay.
