I suggest going down to the bank and asking clerk what the accounting number is.
That is what I did.
It is usually connected to your debit card...and most people don't do checks anymore to buy something...so don't know how anyone would know their routing number if they don't write out checks anymore.
Routing number is on a check...checking account(mine) is connected to my debit card.
And Bank of America....it isn't workable in some states or cities...from past posts here.
Would you believe my spouse would rather write out a check instead of paying a bill online? So we must be the only people who still use paper checks lol 😆
I know they aren't free, still doesn't stop the spouse from ordering them. The checks aren't the ones you can fit in a purse or pocket, he likes the ones that you put in a 3 ring binder 🙄🤣
Having this issue too. Does it ask you to confirm your banking information and then say your exact bank acct # is invalid ? It’s driving me insane, I even opened up a new account to try to fix it and it still asks for “the full bank account number ending in xxxxx1234†to confirm the change, then once I put it in it rejects it.

Luckily I don't have Bank of America.

·2 years agoMy spouse writes out a check for the rent each month...and delivers it in person.
I pay everything else on line...I have no checks...they aren't free anymore from the banks unless you have a ton of money in that bank.

@flowercafe
There's a good chance you may have either put too many numbers for your account number or reversed one or two digits.
@pacha_antares
You need to enter the routing number first then the account number.
