Item arrived after refund

Hi Team,

I'd like some assistance in this matter. I purchased an item from Germany on 1 Jan 2024. The item was scheduled to be delivered no later than 22 Jan. By this date, the item was still stuck in Germany, so I then opened a ticket for Item Not Received. By 30 Jan, I asked Ebay to step in. I then received a full refund. On 6 Feb, the item arrived. Now, I'm not sure what to do. I informed the seller that I received the item and would like to pay for it. Next thing, I receive an email to my email address with the seller providing their bank details. While I have no issue paying for the item I received, is it not against Ebay rules that a seller cannot contact a buyer outside of Ebay? Should I inform Ebay that the seller contacted me via personal email?

The shouldn't be contacting outside of Ebay. They are trying to avoid EBay Fees. I would contact Ebay For Business on Facebook and ask them.

Kudos for wanting to repay the seller. There's no need to contact eBay. It's not against policy.
