Inquiry regarding payment security and Payoneer integration - FBI case filed
Hello everyone,
I am reaching out to the community to see if others have experienced similar security concerns with the mandatory Payoneer payment system.
Recently, my business funds ($1,948.44) were diverted and stolen. Due to the nature of the breach and the current mandatory payment structure, I have officially filed a report with the FBI (IC3 Submission ID: 8b42ced2394e411899954d822a81af33) to ensure a formal investigation.
My main concern is that the current system (which replaced PayPal) lacks certain security layers, and I am trying to understand if this is an isolated incident or a broader vulnerability within the eBay-Payoneer integration.
Has anyone else in the community dealt with unauthorized fund diversions through Payoneer? I would appreciate hearing about your experience and how eBay handled the security aspect of your case.

If your Payoneer account was hacked, that's not an Ebay problem

·5 months agoYou’re asking this on the USA community board, and we don’t use Payoneer here, so we have no experience with it. I don’t see how the FBI could help you, as they are a USA entity, and Payoneer is used by international buyers who are not USA citizens.
I would think you would need to address these concerns directly with Payoneer.
