I replied to a ebay email. It turns out it a fishing email.

It said I need to pay extra shipping charges of $49.

When I did this it would print a label.

It did not print a label, I had previously printed a label for an item I sold and that was correct

Now ebay want $49 for a item weighing 44 lbs which I did not ship nor sold.

@dougntubss

Is it an under payment message for a shipping label?

Hopefully you didn't enter any payment info or account info via the phishing email link. If so, you need to take action to protect your accounts

If it was a phishing email just ignore it and delete it.
