How do I specify what to charge when paying via PayPal?
In PayPal, my default payment method is to use my credit card. I also have my bank account linked as a backup in case of emergencies.
Recently, all of my eBay purchases that go through PayPal are using my bank account to get payment from instead of my credit card.
How do I stop that from happening?

The way I skinned this cat was to go to my PayPal Wallet and select the CC (or whatever card in my Wallet that I want to use) as my 'Preferred method of payment while shopping online'. That should fix you right up. Good luck.

·8 months agoPayPal is using your bank because eBay is set to pay that way.
Even if your card is default, eBay can still choose the bank.
To fix it:
Open PayPal
Go to Settings → Payments → Automatic Payments
Click eBay
Choose your credit card
Save
After this, eBay should use your card again ðŸ‘

·8 months agoIf you are going to pay by using your credit card, there is no reason to use PayPal. There are no additional protections, since PayPal will not change Ebay's decision on any return claims.
Twice the potential for something happening which is not what you want.

OP8 months agoI disagree. PayPal has had my credit card information for years. I don't like giving it to every site that wants it. eBay has never had my credit card information, and I see no reason to change that.
