How do I know a buyer has paid for an item?
Sorry to ask a stupid question but since eBay switched away from PayPal I don't know how to determine if a seller has paid me. Help?

In the order details, you should see information about the payment status, including whether the buyer has completed the payment.
eBay typically sends email notifications for each sale and payment received. Check your email inbox for any payment confirmation emails from eBay.
eBay's managed payments system directs funds to your specified bank account. You can check the payment status by logging into your managed payments account and reviewing the transaction details.
If you use the eBay mobile app, you can also check the payment status in the "Selling" section.
When you have a sale and it’s been paid, you will see it in your awaiting shipping area of your seller hub. You may get an email notification, but don’t rely on that because they can be unreliable or not sent at all. I haven’t received an email notification of a sale in about 2 years.
Hopefully you’ve signed up with managed payments by updating your checking account to get your payouts.
New or infrequent sellers will experience payout holds for up to 30days.

No such thing as a stupid question.
eBay will send a series of e-mail messages to the email address that you used when you registered your selling ID.
I just checked some of my own e-mails to verify this.
The first will say something like "You made the sale" of your listed item. Then, "You got paid", which also tells you to go ahead and purchase your postage through eBay. The next e-mail will say "Your eBay label is ready." And finally, "We sent your payout."

·2 years agoEven if you use My eBay, you will get notification if the buyer has paid and to ship. eBay has had Managed Pay for over 2 years, so you would get notification the same way as your last sales.

If the buyer paid, the order will also be under your paid orders waiting to be shipped.
