Holding funds
This is the first time I have sold an item on eBay for over 12 years ( eBay was very different then )
How are they allowed to hold funds for up to 3 weeks ,saying it's protecting sellers and buyers.....surely by holding funds for such a long time they are giving buyers the opportunity to use, wear, sit on ,listen to etc and then say item is not right.broken sex and then demand a refund or return without the seller having a day
this policy is so out of order
I will never use eBay again for either buying or selling and as for getting any help from customer service it's non existing just computer generated response so so angry

·4 years agoThe payments hold policy was not a secret. Too bad you didn't keep up with the changes and new policies on eBay while you were away.

·2 years agoSo then how does printing labels out of eBay work now? I finally sold something today; like the OP I've been away from eBay for many years as far as selling is concerned.
The last time I did this, the money went into my PayPal account immediately. IIRC PayPal did put a hold on most of the funds, but at least a small part of the money was available because I was allowed to pay for the shipping label out of my PayPal account. How does this work now? Will eBay allow me to charge my shipping cost against my eBay payments account?
I could just pay at the post office, but I'd rather not do that as the eBay mailing discount is substantial.
