Having an issue with eBay giftcards
Hi everyone. I'm having an issue with 2 $30 ebay cards I purchased at a local grocery store. Both cards were activated and I have the gift receipts saying they were activated by Blackhawk. These are the kind that are sealed in the cardboard sleeve and the codes were unscratched. I purchased them over 24 hours ago. When I try to make a purchase with one, it says that "We ran into a problem, please try again later." When I got to Add A GiftCard, I get the message: We can't find a giftcard with that number.
I can't tell if the problem is with ebay or with Blackhawk. I've been seeing other people with slightly different giftcard issues and I wondered if there's been any feedback from ebay that there is an issue somewhere. At the same time, I purchased 2 Amazon giftcards which did work.

OP1 year agoJust to update the issue a bit: Yesterday morning, ebay let me pay with one of the gift cards. It sat payment pending for hours and when I got home from work, I had an email saying that the payment had been cancelled and to use another method. When I go to pay, it does show that I have a $30 gift card available but it won't let me apply it to a purchase. So at least we know that the issue is ebay's problem and hopefully they'll rectify it soon or at least someone can let us know what's going on which would be nice.

·1 year agoStop buying gift cards. Why transfer your money to a third party that might not give it back. Most gift cards have been compromised by the time you buy them. Even if they
are sealed up kine king Tut's tomb.
