I was trying to purchase a car, but the person behind the sale of the car wants me to buy ebay gift cards to make this purchase. this sounds very sketchy please advise.

·2 years agoI've been noticing more posters coming here and asking BEFORE they buy/hand the cards over rather than after. YEAH!!

·2 years agoYou were wise to come and ask. That is a thief and liar out to steal your money. eBay does not work like that ans they will NEVER tell you to buy gift cards. eBay never assists in sales or payments of items on other sites. It has to be listed on eBay to be an eBay sale. There is no other way.
Good thing you asked first. Just had another one only, they all ready paid. Yes no car ever was delivered.

·2 years agoIt is a scam. Run! eBay does not require you to pay with gift cards. There is no trial period. They do not store the car. eBay does not handle ANY sale that is not found on eBay. Use the report button on what ever site you found it on and report it.
