·4 years agoThat's the whole point of of the CC, @janicei51. When you file an "Unrecognized charge" inquiry on ONE and then later ALL of the 6 unrecognized charges with your CC, then whoever is behind the PayPal/eBay charge will come out from behind that charge and tell you who they are, so you'll find out if it's either valid or fraud.
Chargebacks and inquiries
When a cardholder has an issue with a charge on their credit card, they can contact their bank to dispute the charge. The bank then makes a chargeback or inquiry. If the cardholder's bank makes an inquiry, then they don't take the disputed amount or a chargeback fee right away.

·2 years agoIf you don't NOTICE the fraudulent charges until 6months later,SOME credit card companies don't honor disputes like Citi Card. Won't order on eBay anymore...no humans to talk to to fix problems like this.its become a mickey mouse site...sad

This is a very old thread.
Each Credit Card company has their own rules. Some are 90 days and some are 180 and maybe some are in between.
