Fraudulent bill CBE Group
I received a letter in mail from CBE group saying they are a debt collection agency and I owe ebay $37. I called ebay and they have no record of it- seems like fraud. Heads up!

·3 years agoReceived one today. Immediately submitted a complaint to the federal government concerning the fraudulent attempts to collect a fraudulent debt. There are a couple of things that identify the letter as likely foreign-generated.
1) The debit is to "eBay." Not eBay, Inc. or any other legal entity name. Simply eBay.
2) The English is poor in spots. "You had a account on November 21, 2021." Incorrect grammar in this example.
In addition, if you're actively selling on eBay, eBay would have taken this debt from funds collected on your behalf as you sell.
If you receive a similar letter, please report it to the authorities. These criminals need arrested, charged, incarcerated and fined.
