EeBay now holding your funds for 15 days
Today I found out after being with them for over 20 years that they well hold my funds for 15 days after a sale because of this I have pulled all my listings I've always maintained 100% feedback Who else have they pulled this on who gets the interest on the money I'm 80 years old on a fixed income and this was my way to keep my head above water

·4 months agoI’m in 3 days hold after delivery. I’m not a new seller and I sell over 5k a month
I’ll take a pause in selling on eBay not sure I can’t afford it I buy merchandise weekly but now with the hold I can’t do it

·4 months agoI have been a seller for over 10 years with a 100% positive feedback rating. It is completely unreasonable that all my funds are being held. I am being forced to wait an extensive amount of time to access my money, yet I am still expected to fulfill all orders on time. This is a huge burden and feels like a lack of respect toward dedicated sellers.
I am in a truly desperate situation. I have already spoken with multiple agents and sent numerous emails, yet finding a solution has been impossible.
I don't understand why they are doing something like this

·4 months agoHeld funds can be used to purchase shipping labels, and you are required to own your owns before listing them for sale, so it should not prevent fulfilling orders.

·4 months agoI'm a new seller but have been on here since 2006, I dont like what they do with the money either.
First they hold payments and say since I'm new it wont be released until the Items are delivered. Then after it was delivered, it says I have to wait 2 more days, then it said one more day for daily payouts which is **bleep** it should of sent by now, now it says sent. 1-3 days yet my bank shows nothing pending or otherwise. So far it looks like 11 days. They must be making interest off the sale on top of the fees they make.
Yet they can "test" the bank/s instantly sending one penny no problem.

·4 months agoDid you not read the Payment Hold Policy before you started selling?
New and infrequent sellers have up to 30 days hold on payments.
It is not about interest since eBay never sees the money except the fees you pay.
All payments go through a payment processor and distribute to seller from there.
It is about CYA. eBay would rather have the money you are to get if the buyer files a eBay MBG Not as Described case within the 30 days.
Then that comes from what is on hold and not out of eBays funds.

I am on a fixed income as well and budget my money accordingly. You can certainly do the same I'd think.
15 days is alot faster than SS so I don't get all the fuss........................

·3 months agoJust because you live comfortably doesn't mean everyone does; that ridiculous habit of thinking everyone has to do things the same way can lead to different kinds of expenses.

They will hold the funds for 30 days.

·5 months agoIf you know of quite a few other places to sell that are actually better, why are you not already selling at those places? Or are you already and eBay is just a side gig?
