Ebay will just hold funds forever?
Having quite the issue, that customer service has hung up on me, and ended the chat on me for. I am very respectful when talking to them, as I understand it is not their fault. But they also will not let me talk to someone that can resolve it, while recycling the same thing like "When you purchase labels through Ebay, the tracking uploads automatically" I buy all of my labels through Ebay.
I have been selling for quite some time. Am Top Rated Plus. A badge that tells other Ebay members that they can trust me, as I ship everything within 24 hours, and offer free returns. Problem is, about a month ago, Ebay stopped trusting me. I got an email stating that I was currently getting paid 2 days after payment from the buyer, to now getting paid 3 days after delivery confirmation. No one has been able to provide a reason why, and I was told by one agent that they were not obligated to tell me why. I can promise nothing on my end has changed. Everything ships within 24 hours. All positive feedback. No returns(except for the not received ESE)
Here is the biggest issue with this. If anyone else sells ESE, as you are aware they do not always get scanned delivered. Some still leave feedback. Very rarely(probably 2%) they do the not received thing. I can't say one way or the other if it was received or not, as it just shows the initial scan, and not delivered. Well, with my new restriction, I have ESE cards I sold March 7th on that I can not get paid for, as they did not get scanned delivered. They are holding an insane amount of my money right now, and the amount from ESEs that shipped over 2 weeks ago is even in the thousands.
Is there a way to connect to someone who can fix this? I would fully understand the restriction if I was new, or my shipping time started slipping, or I was getting more returns. None of that is true though. This seems really unjustified.

·5 months agoHi Friend, same thing happened to me and I'm a top rated seller for 27 years with 100% positive feedback. I spent hours on the phone and chat with ebay. This is a site wide change that all sellers will soon face. Basically ebay will hold all your funds for 72 hours after delivery confirmation. It's not personal, it's going to happen to everyone and everyone is denying it. Denial runs strong in america. What does this mean? It means that you have to float the postage and packing supplies in advance.

·5 months agoSadly, there's nothing you can do about the ESE funds holds other than wait out the 30 days when they don't get scanned. Would recommend only using this service if you absolutely need to. Hopefully the cost savings make up for the time value of the money that is held.
For what it's worth, my funds holds went away after 2 months when this happened to me.

·5 months ago3 days to get paid is too long? I think eBay has expedited payment, but charges for it. Kinda like Fedex overnight, often times you can get your package in one day, but they hold it a day or two since you didnt pay for expedited service you wont get the expedited value.
But I'm bad at all this because I really have no clue when I get paid, it has never been an issue for me. In my daily business of 40 years most of my A/R run net30, so eBay to me is very acceptable as long as it's within 30 days

·5 months agoI use postage stamps and the USPS if I need tracking.
You may want to go that route.
I don't do anything cheap $20.00 with tracking.
So, tracking might not be your problem.
I did notice a few mentioning here lately about issues with ESE including me.
I made a lot of purchases lately and most of my buyers use postage stamps to send me my items.
I do have an item that was due today and never arrived by ESE and tracking was like for the 'birds'.
Doing 'out of stock' or eBay doing refunds and not you first can get you in a mess...I am not saying that is the problem but it's just a thought.
My ESE item missing in action is just a stamp(one)...so it has nothing to do with the envelope and such.
There might be certain parts of the country where items with ESE are having problems.
Anyway, here is what I see as my item missing looks like:

·5 months agoThe downsides of using ESE are well known.
Sellers who choose to sell item which use ESE for reasons of marketing or low item value need to recognize all of the costs associated with the choice.
You are being enlightened. Time to choose whether to change your practices, consider removing your lowest ticket items or otherwise adapt.
Trust and safety practices on Ebay are continuing to be tightened, without any announcement or notification of customer service.
You will eventually get paid, but when is still a mystery, which you might solve for the community when you see your money transferred to you bank.
Not only is there no one who can expedite your payment, who you can contact, it is unlikely any employee you can contact would know who that person is.
