Ebay Selling - True Net Payout
Hey everyone, Recently I downloaded a report of my sales and compared that information to my net payouts from ebay in my bank account. Understanding that Ebay calculates is final value fees based on total order value, I was more interested to understand what my net payout percentage is as compared to my total item sales (the sum of all sold item subtotals). For example, if I sold 5 items totaling $500 what percentage of that should I see hit my bank account? What I see in looking at my last ~50 sales is payout amounts totaling approximately 73% of my item subtotal sale amounts (not including tax or shipping). Is this consistent with other sellers' experience?

·3 years agoTrue Net Payout....a valid general question, but there is no such animal that applies universally...
I can say without reservation, that mine is different than what you are experiencing.
On one of my main selling accounts for every 100.00 I sell at least 80.00 hits my bank account.....
(and that is in a 14.95% category).....
It is even better in another lower percentage category (but only a couple percentage points)

·3 years agoYour 73% is pretty consistent with what I see.
My "selling costs" generally run between 25-30%.
