eBay gift card problem no money even though I hadn’t bought anything
I got an eBay gift card for $50 today and wanted to get some cleats off there. I went to checkout and put in the code it worked at first but I later went back and looked for other items. I decided I wanted to get the first pair I saw but the gift card didn’t work anymore? I checked the balance and it said $0 has this happened to anyone if so how do I

·8 months agoTry checking your Purchase History to see if it was applied to an order you didn't realize it was used for. Once it's on your account, it's permanently attached to your account until it's used up, but it's available for every order at that point.

OP8 months agoI did type in the code during checkout but never ordered the item I just removed the item from my cart and went to look for other cleats but decided I wanted the ones I had originally found when I tried putting the code back in it didn’t work anymore and I went to check the balance and it said 0

·8 months agoIf you typed in the code when making a purchase, removing the item from your cart appears to NOT cancel.
Check if the item appears in your Purchase History.

There have been problems in the past w/gift card balances disappearing in checkout before any payment.
eBay CS can look at your account and see what happened, possibly restore it, depending on what they find.
You need to reach someone with the Gift Card team to help with this.
Open this Help page on Gift Cards
At the bottom Click on "Contact us"
In the Chatbox that opens, to bypass the bots, type AGENT then press the Send arrow
Keep typing "AGENT" to any bot questions.
For the box asking "Yes"/"Something else" click on "Yes"
You should see the options to Chat live with an agent, or have them call you.
